The questions we hear most often from families. If you don't see yours, just call David directly.
What does APCH cost?
We charge one flat monthly rate that includes everything — private bedroom, meals, personal care, medication management, activities, and laundry. There are no level-of-care surcharges or per-task add-ons. Pricing varies slightly by home and is in line with quality residential care in Fresno County. We share an exact quote on your tour.
Do you accept Medicare or Medicaid?
APCH is a private-pay residential care community. We do not accept Medicare or Medi-Cal as primary payment. Many families use long-term care insurance, VA benefits, or family resources. We're happy to talk through your options on a tour.
How is your care staffed?
Each home has two caregivers throughout the day and one awake caregiver overnight. Registered nurses are available to direct or visit any home, 24 hours a day. Our care ratio is 1:3 — six residents per home, with care staff present around the clock.
Do you offer respite (short-term) stays?
Yes — when rooms are available. Respite stays are a great way to give a family caregiver a break, recover from surgery, or test whether APCH is the right fit before committing long-term.
What happens if my loved one's needs change?
They stay in the same home, with the same team. Our flat-rate model means you won't suddenly face higher fees as care needs grow. We provide care from early-stage assisted living through advanced memory care and end-of-life support — all in place.
How small are your homes?
Each home is a loving home, not a wing of a facility. Six residents per home, with two caregivers during the day and an awake caregiver overnight. This is a dramatically higher staffing level than most assisted living facilities.
What's the difference between standard care and Luxury Living?
Every APCH home shares the same care standard. Our Luxury Living homes — The Chateau and The Castillo on Powers and Locan — add a dedicated private chef, complimentary personal services (manicures, pedicures, haircuts, massage), and a shared private courtyard between the two homes. What are visiting hours?
Visiting hours are 10am to 8pm. We hold this window because mornings are busy — getting residents up, showered, dressed, and ready for the day takes attention and privacy. Evenings wind down toward bedtime routines. Within visiting hours, family is always welcome — grandchildren included — and we make exceptions any time the circumstances call for it.
How quickly can my loved one move in?
It depends on availability. Some homes have waitlists; others have rooms ready now. With 10 homes across five neighborhoods, we can usually find a fit. The fastest way to know is to call David directly at (559) 213-7251.
